Description
Day 1
Delve into a riot of natural beauty at the sacred wells of Cornwall and taste its magnificent healing water. Afterward, take a walk through the medieval wonderland of Roche Rock, a sanctuary for those who were chased by demons, and listen to the sounds of birdsong and wind rustling through the trees.
Drive to Cornwall's world famous open-air Minack Theatre, where you can take magnificent pictures and admire the view before heading to St Michaels Mount. As you walk through the island, let the natural beauty of the glorious surroundings take your breath away. Then, imagine you are a medieval king or queen as you enjoy lunch in the island castle.
Finish your day with a stroll along one of the many golden beaches dotted along the stunning Lizard coastline and see for yourself why Cornwall is so popular during the summer.
Day 2
Wake up beside the beach and enjoy a mind-blowing sunrise before heading straight to Poldark Mine, a tin mine made famous by the Poldark series that was filmed in Cornwall.
Then, take in the majestic scenery of Pendennis Castle, which was one of Henry VIII’s finest coastal fortresses. Afterward, continue your journey towards the round tower of Restormel Castle where you can have a picnic and admire the panoramic views. You will also see the elaborately decorated medieval fortress, St Mawes Castle.
Day 3
On the last day of your trip, travel through history as you stand on the site of the prehistoric Hurlers Stone Circles, where early druids performed their rituals to pagan gods.
Travel further and explore Dozmary Pool, where many believe King Arthur's Excalibur sword still remains. After enjoying panoramic views of Bodmin Moor, climb up the Launceston Castle, which was once a prison and now offers breathtaking views of the historic town and countryside. Get an insight into the dramatic history of this castle, its hardships, and brutal conditions from your professional guide.
Continue your descent along the coast and experience one of Cornwall’s hidden treasures, St Nectan's Kieve, a spectacular sixty-foot waterfall accessible through a hole in the rocks. Afterward, wander through St Nectan’s Glen, an area of outstanding natural beauty. See animals and birds at play in this fairytale forest and be serenaded by the wonderful sound of bird song.
Finally, immerse yourself in history, fairytales and stunning scenery at Tintagel Castle, set high on Cornwall's rugged north coast between Padstow and Bude. Inextricably linked with the legend of King Arthur, for centuries this dramatic castle and coastline have fuelled the imaginations of writers and artists.
